Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome and Proving Ground is home to the Cold War jet collection - Vulcan, Victor, Hunter, Canberra, Comet, Lightning, Harrier, Seahawk, Sea vixen, Buccaneer, Jet provost, Super Guppy, Iskra, Jaguar.

These are the names that bring memories flooding back to those of us who were around in the 60's & 70's and saw these beautiful aircraft fly. Whilst nowadays very few of these aircraft types fly anywhere in the world, the Cold War Jets Collection maintains several of these types in fully serviceable order. Sometimes museum visitors may be fortunate enough to be present when systems and engines on individual aircraft are tested.

The museum is open 10.00am - 4.00pm every Sunday throughout the year. Groups can be accommodated at other times by prior arrangement. On our open days, the aircraft make taxi runs often up to full take off speed down Bruntingthorpe's two mile long runway.
