MILITARY DEFENCE APPLICATIONS
Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground has a range of facilities for track testing of all types of defence vehicles from covert cars to heavy land platforms, from road-going to off-road. The 670 acre high security site also lends itself to many other applications including anti-terrorism exercises and vehicle storage.
The range of facilities includes an asphalt circuit over 6km in length and 60m wide for low and high speed manoeuvres, a demanding off-road course for 4x4's and some light armoured vehicles and large asphalt areas for driver training.
The privacy, space and security that Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground offers, make the site an ideal training facility for government departments and the armed services. Bespoke driver training courses can be adapted to specific needs using the large range of vehicles available on site including HGV and tanker training vehicles and skid control cars.
There are also large workshops and body-shops capable of accommodating vehicles up to 50 tonnes, supplemented by over 100 acres of secure vehicle storage.
