Don’t miss out on something so spectacular.

Bruntingthorpe Aviation strives to maintain the Cold War Jets Collection in fully serviceable order and our voluntary teams do exceptionally well in preserving these historical aircraft. Although retired from active duty, many of the jets remain in fully working order and therefore, twice a year, we open our doors for visitors to experience a truly unique event. Due to the nature of this event high noise volumes are to be expected, it is advised that ear protection is worn by those attending.

To exercise the aircraft, a selection of the jets perform full power taxi runs on our 3.2km runway, a spectacle that should not be missed. On our scheduled Fast Taxi Days, the gates to the site open at 9 am with the first taxi often planned for approximately 11 am. We charge a fee of £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, including pensioners and those with disabilities, and children under 16 are welcome free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are only available on the gate so please ensure you arrive in plenty of time (Please be aware tickets can not be purchased in advance).

The Bruntingthorpe site has ample parking for the event, however, during busy periods fly-ins are not always possible. Please call us to check before confirming journey plans.

We haven’t yet confirmed if the taxi days will be on in 2020 however should they go ahead they will happen on 24th May and 30th August 2020. Please check back to this pahe for updates as and when they happen.
