Ian Strong

Director of Technical Services & Compliance

Ian has been with C. Walton since 2012, having brought with him a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years from the shop floor to mass volume processing. Ian has been instrumental in the evolution of our technical services to the most advanced refurbishment centre in the UK.

In his role of Director of Technical Services and Compliance he is responsible for the continued achievement of client KPI’s through the various workshops both mechanical and refurbishment, alongside ensuring that our facilities continue to develop and be utilised in the most effective manner on all of our sites. In addition, as we are all aware, legislation is continuing to flow into our sector, specifically around mechanical repair, personal data and HSE – Ian leads the compliance in these areas for technical services.

Sam Watkins

Director of Sales and Marketing

Sam has been instrumental in building the business since 2011. With over 20 years industry experience in retail, manufacturer, leasing and supply chain services. Sam has a Masters degree in Strategic Automotive Management and is the current VRA Chair and NAMA associate.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, Sam not only looks after all sales, but also manages all our major client accounts ensuring that as a business we are always matching/exceeding our clients requirements.

Richard Sangster

Director Of Business Services

Richard joined us in October 2017 and is now Director of Business Services. With over 23 years automotive experience with manufacturers, leasing companies, import/refurbishment centres, and automotive IT providers. He is highly experienced in business change management, with a strong background in project and process management.

As Director of Business Services, Richard heads up the CWL IT Development team, Site IT Infrastructure team, Project Management team and Business Reporting and Site Quality Control Team. Richard has made a huge impact to the team through coordinating the recent update of the business’s vehicle management system and is now focused on the next major projects.

All situated within the 670-acre site, there is something to meet the needs of each of our customers.
