Big Yellow Experience Open Day

On Saturday the 15th September we welcomed Watling JCB and a selection of their customers with families and friends onto the Bruntingthorpe site for the Big Yellow Experience. This unique outdoor event took over a section of the vast 700 acre Bruntingthorpe Site to allow customers to view and get hands on with the Watling JCB machines.

A specific outdoor area of the site was dedicated to the Big Yellow Experience, which saw a fun day for Watling JCB customers and their families. The location used allowed for attendees to experience the machines first hand in real world environments, and of course the space allowed for a fun Big Yellow twist on your average fun day!

With fun, games and great weather this family-friendly event attracted 392 customers, when coupled with their families and friends the total visitor count was 530 people on the day. The capabilities of the machines were demonstrated in a variety of fun ways, a firm favourite being Hook-a-duck which saw visitors using a mini excavator to transport as many ducks as possible from one pit to another in one minute.

The flexibility of the Bruntingthorpe Site also enabled the machines to be seen in a real world, real action environment, tucked away just behind the main visitor attraction area was a sculpted demonstration arena. Customers we able to get a hands-on experience with a range of machines, testing out their capabilities for themselves.
