Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground welcomes driving experiences designed for special educational needs to site

Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground welcomes SpENd (Special Educational Needs Driving) experiences to the site. The vast network of track facilities and access roads sees all manner of vehicle testing and development take place on site, it also lends itself perfectly to a host of driving experiences. Set to launch on Sunday 16th February is an all new experience offering an introduction to driving for those with special educational needs.

This experience is the only one of its kind in the region. Set up by Vicki Kemp, an ADI Instructor and Driving Advisor for the Regional Driving Assessment Centre, who is passionate about increasing the accessibility of driving experiences to those with special educational needs. For many of those attending getting behind the wheel on the public highway is something which is entirely out of reach. Making an experience like this all the more important. The network of private road facilities within the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground site offers the perfect, safe environment for that first introduction.

With a team of dedicated ADI instructors, all with experience in the ideocracies of driving for special educational needs, SpENd is open to attendees of all ages with all manner of educational needs. The experiences are set to run on a quarterly basis, with one-hour experiences offered to pre-booked customers. This safe and inclusive experience is focused on bringing smiles to faces and a confidence boost that can only come from offering exposure to an activity, that for many, has always been out of reach.
