Film & Photography

Bruntingthorpe’s facilities, scenery, and sheer scale provide a unique filming location.

Alongside our numerous test tracks and training circuits, Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground is also an impressive filming location. Documentary makers, independent movies and blockbuster productions are all welcome to use our facilities, taking advantage of our range of high-performance cars, off-road 4x4s, and aircraft fleet including a Boeing 747, all with an incredible backdrop of the English countryside. In addition to the main site, Bruntingthorpe can also offer 400 acres of agricultural land to help meet all customer requirements, big or small.

The unique length of our main straight, measuring in at 3.2km, can offer a clear horizon on a low-angle shot - an impressive addition to many photographic and filming shoots. The site has been utilised in the past for well-known prime-time programmes including Fifth Gear and Top Gear, as well as numerous advertisements, fashion shoots, music videos, and feature films, including the Mission Impossible franchise.

Alongside our vast array of outdoor facilities, our site also features an impressive aircraft hangar which can be transformed into a complete movie set or TV studio, should you wish. With enough space to host an entire film crew and cast, our hanger is the ideal film studio location for shooting a high-end or low-key movie production. Similarly, fashion shows, vehicle photoshoots, and numerous other events can be set-up within the building itself.

Bruntingthorpe is also a regular venue of choice for magazine and newspaper shoots, especially for automotive features. More recently, the facilities have been increasingly used by various people looking for content for social media.
